Cause and Effect Gargoyle Books

As you may already know, the thorny "issue Gargoyle " yesterday was resolved with a resounding step back from the publishing house, who declined to propose a series for beginners willing to pay from his own pocket a paper publication.

is generally accepted that this setback was caused by the tide of indignation, "the Libyan" that within a few hours flooded the blogosphere, Facebook, and some well-known forum for writing. As outrage mounted, and with them the promise not to buy more books in the UK, The publisher has wisely decided to maintain the prestige gained in recent years, and take a step back.

But it's not about this event that I want to focus my attention.

The more general question is: what is the true power of the blogosphere Italian?

not talk about politics, morals etc.. For now I want to stay away from these issues. Let's focus instead on the sphere of entertainment. A "group" blog of well-attended, as my (pardon the immodesty) is able to move or opinions to influence the market?

At first glance the answer would be: NO. No

why they continue to say that blogs are nothing.

No, because Italy is an old country and hierarchical interests are focused on middle market more suited to people of a certain age (and TV and newspapers).

Yet few doubt it is lawful to keep it, rocking.

past year requests for reviews and recommendations about books, stories, websites and short films have quadrupled. That is certainly true for me but even more for even bigger blog. This means that publishers and authors believe that an article on my blog can somehow affect the visibility of a product.

Is it really so?

so it is with my fellow bloggers with whom converses daily? I ask in a papal've never had the impression that they could "move" the interest, positive or negative, but in a concrete way, in a book, a movie, a comic book?

is important to know, because I have the impression that their blogs are the only shred of self-criticism from the market "mafia" reviewers made prostitute, and hired scoundrels. Phenomenon as old as the world, but grew exponentially in the days of the Web

would be nice to be aware that other companies are able to influence editorial and market goes down, due to the quality and not just the interests of the stable.

Chioso with an example that probably comes from my imagination. Over the past 2-3 months I have smashed the balls of fury quote for various reasons, World War Z, a book which for months had disappeared in the biggest library in Milan. So much so that I had to retrieve it in Italian order it online (and also here was not easy to find). For about two weeks but I noticed that several copies of WWZ have reappeared in almost all the Feltrinelli shops and even a couple Mondadori.

Can someone went to call the book, "forcing" the various multimedia store to do it reappear on the shelves?

Yes, ok, I know, this sounds like megalomania ...
